Course Objectives

At the completion of the course, participants will have:
- acquired knowledge and skills in performing safety audits, assessments and analysis of hazards and risks in construction,
- acquired skills in risk management procedures and practices,
- Formulated a re-entry plan as a contribution to their respective construction project’s safety and health program.

Introduction to Construction Safety, Basic Principles and Practices, and Recognizing Hazards and Risks in Construction Safety

1.1. Injuries and illnesses Data in general, and in the construction sector
1.2. Unsafe Act/Unsafe Condition in Construction Site Premises (including Electrical Safety and Housekeeping)
1.3. Construction Safety Legislation
1.4. Tools and Equipment
1.5. Construction Machinery (Crane)

Day 2

RECAP

Hazard and risk recognition, Risk Management

2.1 Construction Machinery (Mobile Equipment)
2.2 Excavation Safety
2.3 Fall Protection
2.4 Temporary Structures
